That time of year has come around – three years ago the founder of Scenicpees.com, Chris Bell, was swept away by an avalanche in Glencoe. Here’s a photo of him up in the Western Highlands. We miss Chris, but he loved the hills.and the odd accident shouldn’t put you off. Get out there!

Looks like autumn’s here- that means it’s time for some good old winter mountaineering pees. To get us in the frame of mind here’s a summery shot taken by Kieran just off the top of Cairngorm.

No, really. This is myself captured by my mate Ben at the bottom of Ribblehead Viaduct on a bit of moor called Batty Wife Hole. Honest, look on wikipedia. The stream was strong, I promise, but the arty lighting hides it.
